Two Los Angeles agencies have received $111 million in federal stimulus funds but have used the money to create or save just 55 jobs, City Controller Wendy Greuel said Wednesday.

Announcing the results of two audits, Greuel said she found no misuse of federal Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds by officials in the Public Works Department and the Department of Transportation.

But she said she was disappointed by delays in preparing projects and awarding contracts that could have cut into Los Angeles’ double-digit jobless rate.
